Merrymakers improves the quality of life for seniors by encouraging active participation, increasing social interaction, and sparking memories through professional entertainment.

Message from the Executive Director
Now that I am half way through my first exciting year with Merrymakers, I have gained some prospective about our mission. We speak a lot about “quality of life” for our seniors and there are many fine programs to make sure they have appropriate medical care, safe living conditions, and nutritious meals. I am pleased to say all the seniors I have met have all they need, with caring and professional caregivers and live in pleasant surroundings. We at Merrymakers try to take it “up a notch” by sending professionals to take their show on the road and bring it to those who would find it difficult due to logistics of transportation or finances to participate in this level of entertainment. But the real pay-off for me, and for all of us with Merrymakers is the when we achieve mission. Whether we perform for 7 or 75 seniors, every time we do, we see smiles, and hands clapping, and singing and sometimes even tears as a song reaches a memory or touches a heart. To be allowed to enhance the lives of the seniors we serve makes me so very proud to be associated with this organization. Big thanks to all our sponsors who support this mission!

Spirit of Merrymakers

The Metro Omaha partner facilities graciously attended the Merrymakers annual breakfast on April 29th, and heard all about the exciting new things that are going on in the organization. Thanks to all of you who were able to attend. During the meeting the annual "Spirit of Merrymakers" award was presented. This year the award went to Kathy Hartwell of Life Care Center. Kathy has shown dedication to the mission of Merrymakers through her active promotion of our performances, her recognition of her sponsors support and by even volunteering her own time to assist with our fundraising Roast last year. In recognition of her efforts she received a plaque, a lovely plant and an extra Merrymakers performance for her facility. Thanks to Kathy for her support of Merrymakers.
