Dunklau Gardens

Dunlau Gardens is FAMC’s licensed 112-bed skilled care facility with private and semi-private rooms and 24-hour nursing care. The facility is located in FAMC’s main building in the event that emergency, specialty or ancillary services would be needed.

The staff prides itself on delivering comprehensive programs, along with a variety of activities that nurture each resident. Residents enjoy an environment based on the “Eden Alternative,” a concept that integrates plants, animals and interaction with the community to form a vibrant atmosphere. Our rooms are Medicare certified, therapy services are offered, and nurses are available 24 hours a day.

In addition, FAMC’s full-time chaplain has developed more programs to enhance the residents’ spiritual lives. Dunklau Gardens is approved by the Department of Health and Human Services for participation in Medicare and Medicaid programs.

All residents receive a voice in their care through a seven-member Resident Council that meets monthly. In addition, the staff members of Dunklau Gardens work as a team in the direct care of each resident’s individual needs. We also believe that it is important for residents to do as much for themselves as they possibly can. This helps them to maintain dignity, as well as a more active lifestyle.
