Mark “Sharky” Sanford

Mark “Sharky” Sanford has had a lifelong music career. He has been performing since age eight portraying Winthrop Peru in the Music Man at Omaha Central. This led to him singing in various garage bands since age 12. While at Central High, Sanford was a member of the A Capella Choir. During Architecture school in Lincoln, Sanford played in bands, then in 1976, he moved to Minneapolis, MN to be in a band named Players. In 1977, Sanford returned to Lincoln to begin a solo career playing piano and singing. Sanford hasn’t stopped singing and playing, with his influences being Billy Joel, Elton John, Jackson Browne, James Taylor, the Beatles and Crosby Stills and Nash. Sanford is married with four children and two dogs.
